Vivlios family in tavern purchase

-

A GOLD Coast family which in March sold a major holding fronting Bundall Rd, Bundall, for $14.75 million has gone into the liquor business.

The Paradise Waters-based Vivlios family, via trustee company Vivlios Pty Ltd, has emerged as the buyer of the Merrimac Tavern. It was bought at auction in July in a $4.55 million deal that settled in August.

In March the family sold a 6900sq m Bundall Rd site, spanning three titles, to the listed National Storage group and partner Leyshon.

The properties, which adjoin a former Masters store, had been owned for 15 years.

The Merrimac Tavern was sold by Zerny Sandh, a former executive of a major Swedish concern, and Virginia Long.

Mr Sandh developed the tavern.
