Viddora set to beat WA challengers

-

LLOYD Kennewell has a healthy respect for local favourite State Solicitor but insists Viddora has the best form heading into tomorrow’s Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes (1200m) in Perth.

The South Australian trainer said Viddora hasn’t missed a beat since arriving in Perth as she bids to claim that elusive Group 1 win tomorrow.

The five-year-old mare has been unlucky not to have already won a Group 1, having being beaten by She Will Reign in a photo finish in the Moir Stakes earlier this campaign and also finishing close up at her only other two Group 1 starts in the Manikato Stakes and Robert Sangster Stakes.

“She has been knocking on the door and she has been real close (to claiming that Group 1 win),” Kennewell said.

“She is super, she is spot on and she has travelled over well and settled in well.”

Viddora will travel from Perth to the Gold Coast after the Winterbottom for next month’s Magic Millions race day on January.
