Sweet 16 but still behind wheel

WHEN a man at Tweed Heads West was stopped by police and asked to produce his licence – he couldn’t. He was already disqualified from driving for the next 16 years.

The 26-year-old was pulled over by officers on Saturday at 7.20am while driving his Holden Commodore on Kennedy Dve, Tweed Heads West.

The Stokers Siding man’s licence is suspended until March 2033 for several prior traffic offences.

The man was arrested and taken to Tweed Heads Police Station.

He was refused bail and is scheduled to appear before the Tweed Heads Local Court today.
