The efforts of Coast teen Lewis Hoath to land the Greg Norman Junior Masters continues a mighty upswing in efforts of our next batch of golf stars.
On the back of growing female numbers, Hoath’s win – replicating the journey of Adam Scott and Cameron Smith – is another sign the sport is thriving in the region.
There’s no doubt the talent has always been there and while it’s unfair to link the success of those like Hoath to the PGA’s return, it is fair to suggest our ability to attract elite stars to the Coast can only help those striving to be one.
