New cops for Tweed

-

TWEED Heads and Byron Bay police stations now have five recruits.

The probationary constables fresh out of the Police Academy in Goulburn are among 199 other graduates from around NSW that started on the beat this week.

Of the recruits in the northern NSW patch, four are male and one is female. Four officers will be stationed at Tweed and one in Byron Bay and will rotate between stations for the next 12 months.

They will work in a buddy system with a senior officer.
