Neser’s injury setback

- Connor.o’brien@news.com.au

GOLD Coast Dolphins captain Michael Neser will be forced to make a delayed start to the Big Bash League season, it has been confirmed.

Neser has long been a pivotal figure for the Adelaide Strikers but will miss the franchise’s home match tonight against the Sydney Thunder due to a fractured finger.

The South African-born allrounder suffered the injury during a Sheffield Shield match for the Queensland side last month.

He is expected to be a chance of making his comeback in Adelaide’s second game of the BBL season, against the Sydney Sixers on December 28.

Neser’s elite career has been impacted by injuries.
