Schapelle’s Christmas knees-up

-

SCHAPELLE Corby has celebrated her first Christmas at home on the Gold Coast since her 2004 drugs arrest by sharing a photograph of herself sitting on Santa’s knee and thanking her supporters.

“Merry Christmas. Thanks to all who have supported me through the years and thank you for welcoming me home. I’m so happy. Stay safe through the holiday season,” Corby wrote on her Instagram account on Christmas Day.

It is Corby’s first Christmas in Australia since her October 2004 arrest for importing 4.3kg of marijuana to Bali.

Meanwhile Byron Bay woman Sara Connor was among several Australian prisoners in Bali’s Kerobokan prison who were yesterday awarded a one-month sentence cut for Christmas.

Her former boyfriend, Briton David Taylor, with whom she was convicted of a role in killing a Bali police officer, was also awarded a one-month remission.
