Titans try for better injury luck

GOLD Coast’s pre-season will come to a climax in regional Queensland as the NRL club aims to avoid a repeat of its horror start to this year.

The Titans will play two trial matches in February, first against the Brisbane Broncos in Toowoomba before meeting the New Zealand Warriors on the Sunshine Coast. It’s a move away from their usual fixtures in Darwin and New Zealand.

The Titans’ early season was hampered by a disastrous final trial against the Warriors in Palmerston North where Nathan Peats, Pat Politoni, Ryan Simpkins, Tyler Cornish, John Olive and Morgan Boyle were all injured.

Gold Coast’s Toowoomba trial will precede their Round 3 match against St George Illawarra in the Garden City at Clive Berghofer Stadium.
