Hamish’s brotherly quest
AFTER a year full of accomplishments, Hamish Stewart has already set his sights on a bucketlist item in 2018.
The talented flyhalf is eager to line up next to older brother Alistair for the first time in their respective rugby careers.
After a season off, hooker Alistair has switched from University of Queensland to join Hamish at Bond Uni.
He has predominantly played in reserve grade for the powerhouse UQ club but Hamish hopes to team up at some stage during the Queensland Premier Rugby season between his own Super Rugby commitments with the Reds.
“He had the year off footy this year and now he is getting back into it,” Hamish said.
“I have never actually got to play with him so hopefully the chance can come.”
The duo are sons of established Darling Downs horse breeder Neville Stewart.
Hamish enjoyed a fruitful 2017 in which he made his Super Rugby debut.
