LOVE ON THE ROCKS AT BURLEIGH HEADS BEAUTY SPOT

- KRISTY MUIR AND KATE PARASKEVOS

THE newest Burleigh Heads landmark is being dubbed “Love Rock” by locals after a heartfelt message appeared on a square boulder in the national park.

It is unknown who is responsible for the mysterious writing which appeared after New Year’s Day but it has been a hit with Coast couples posing for loved-up pictures.

Surfers Paradise couple Felipe Haddas and Patricia Sebastiao were on a walk back from Tallebudgera when they came across the rock which says “stand here & think of someone you love”.

“Felipe and I often go to Burleigh Heads and do exercise because we love that spot,” said Ms Sebastiao. “We stood there and we started to think about each other and all the things we have been building together here in Australia because we have come from Brazil to study English,” she said.

“We met each other here and have been living a true love for a year and two months.” Paradise Point resident Rhianon Voitl, 30, and partner Jamie Simpson went down to chill out on the hill this week.

“It’s adorable,” she said. “I just thought it was beautiful and it made me think of my loved ones.”
