Damaged Coast roads in line for fix

HINTERLAND roads are next in line for a fix months after cyclone Debbie tore through.

Restoratio­n works at a critical site along Currumbin Creek-Tomewin Mountain Rd will be finished this month.

Transport and Main Roads Minister Mark Bailey said with around 200 landslips recorded, repairing the damage is a mammoth effort.

“Georgiou Group will carry out work on Gold CoastSprin­gbrook Rd and McIlwain Civil Engineerin­g will repair Lamington National Park Rd,” Mr Bailey said

“Constructi­on should be complete by the end of 2018, weather permitting.”
