The plethora of new bars and eateries which have opened of late means the options for those on the island have increased dramatically. It was not so long ago that the medical profession advocated smoking as a way of relieving stress. Concepts that seem unthinkable to us were normal not so long ago. Likewise, some of our current lifestyle habits will seem ridiculous in the future. As with social norms so it is with our own practices.
