To KenW, the instructions about not leaving anyone behind originally came from Peter Beattie and is now carried on by Translink. That’s where those instructions come from so get your facts right before you run off at your keyboard. Tiny

It’s a good idea to get legal advice before entering into an agreement with a retirement or aged care facility. The cost might be nothing to what you might save. Barney

All my friends are going to put Ken Wade or K.Wade at the bottom of our texts. Then we can get printed every day. Rod Ashmore

DF skipper, rules or no rules, many people consider it poor sportsmanship to use an uncompetitive course to stifle a competitor.

I am fed up with the way Telcos in shopping centres front of house treat you if you’re not buying. They won’t look at your face, instead look to a mysterious person over your shoulder. I’m not alone, I have friends who have ended up leaving long term providers. Also the same staff speak down to you when you are not completely understanding computers/mobiles. LM

Yes Ken, we agree Surfside is contributing to the lack of respect from the young ones by giving them a free bus ride. Today’s young ones have been given too many rights in the homes, schools and courts. Shame on you Surfside. Angry mum.

With Donald at the helm, you can’t blame the Yanks for smoking weed.

A commonsense approach to the problems of the M1. First off, get the police off the M1, they slow down the traffic. Replace them with speed cameras and point to point cameras. Secondly, get the advertising signs off the M1, then maybe drivers will look at the road instead of reading advertising signs. Thirdly, everyone who has an accident should do an advance driving course before they are allowed to drive again. Last but not least, all young drivers should do an advance driving course before they get their P plates. Leave the rocket science to the rocket scientists. Anthony

I was walking across Loders Creek bridge at Labrador and all I could see was the huge amount of litter in the waterway (mainly McDonald’s rubbish). Can people stop being lazy and put their rubbish in a bin!!!

I can’t understand why they don’t have a green flag in between the red and yellow flags.

Everyone worldwide green is for go.

Shapelle has done the hard yards, leave her alone and get on with your life, if you have one. Leigh the Cabbie

The M1 would not be in such a traffic-blocked, congested mess if the previous LNP Govt had not purchased the dodgy “vindaloo” trains causing the public to lose faith in taking the train, instead of jumping in their private car. GC Citizen

I’m from NZ. An Aussie mate asked which part – I told him all of me! Lighten up people and have a great 2018!

So the Bulletin is pushing the cable car ride to Sringbrook again. When will you get the message the real locals don’t want it. Bush basher

U r committing political suicide, if u continue to resurrect the republican debate Turnbull.

Re: Graeme Burger and negative light rail: name some positives? Businesses closed down, traffic congestion worsened, carbon footprint increased.

Ed Sheeran a bad image for our young ones? Here is a guy who overcame severe stuttering, bullying, being homeless and who worked really hard on his dreams to gain the success he has. On the contrary, I think he is a great role model. HR

Great letters from Dr R. Burgess and Ken W with regard to building a skyrail/cable car service to Springbrook. I am flabbergasted at all the wonderful projects that have been shut down by minority groups on the Gold Coast. CST, Oceanway, Ferries and Skyrail are just a few. With each being another form of transport, which in turn would ease congested roads, one would think they’re a priority! - Queenie

Malcolm we don’t want, need or can afford another postal vote! The only other postal vote we need is for euthanasia. Can all religious devotees please watch Brian Cox tonight on ABC ... best you watch with an open mind. At some stage you will be left without doubt that a magician did not make all just appear.

So how do the republicans plan to do it? Who votes the president in, for how long? What cost for the changes to governments, courts, prisons, schools, councils, army, navy, air force etc? Just the letter heading for those would cost billions! Flag? What about businesses? All will need to change. We have much more urgent things to do and spend money on. Jeepers!

Can we have a postal vote to freeze politicians wages, stop the expenditures, life pensions, make them work a full year and just get on with the job, for which we voted them in for?
