TOP ONE-LINERS IN ABUNDANCE
SOME great one-liners were heard at the Magic Millions cocktails. The best was from famed trainer Richard Freedman who kindly handed back a dropped money clip to one of the photographers. After receiving thanks from the snapper, Richard laughed and said, “If it happened at the track 20 years ago I probably wouldn’t have done that.” Second place goes to Katie Page-Harvey. Looking around at the crowd, most of whom were clutching a gold Moët goblet, she said mock seriously, “And to those of you who are going to take one of those gold goblets home tonight – we know who you are and we will find you.” Cue nervous laughter.
