Brits swoop on Burleigh’s MooGoo skincare products

BURLEIGH-BASED cult skincare product MooGoo has been swamped by orders after a stunning before-and-after success story was picked up by British newspapers.

Teacher Megan Underwood, 22, suffered red-raw skin which left her hospitalised and “looking like a burns victim”.

The woman endured years of painful and expensive treatment before trying MooGoo’s popular Udder Cream — which she said had changed her life.

Photos of her angry red skin before treatment, followed by the fresh faced smile after using MooGoo, prompted a rash of skin sufferers to inundate the company as news of the cream spread.

The company’s modest staff of five people in the UK have called in their parents to help pack orders in the wake of the publicity, which has seen demand grow from 50-60 orders per day for the Udder Cream to up to 1000 a day.

CEO Craig Jones, a former RAAF pilot, said some of the company’s Aussie staff would head over this week to help their UK counterparts fill the orders. “A couple of the UK staff are getting their parents in to come and pack for them,” he said.

Mr Jones developed the cream in his Gold Coast kitchen after searching for a product to help his mother with psoriasis.

“We have been making this product for more than 12 years and it is great to see it have this kind of an impact on someone’s life — it makes all our efforts worthwhile.

“Ever since the story broke our website has gone into overdrive.”

MooGoo employs 35 people at its Burleigh office and warehouse, with more workers manufacturing the products at Gaven and Staplyton.

Revenue for the company has grown 23 per cent in the past year.
