Tallebudgera Valley in million club

-

LUSH acreages, sprawling homes and picturesque surrounds — there’s a lot to love about living inland and the proof is in the numbers.

Tallebudgera Valley is the latest suburb to join the million-dollar club on the Gold Coast, recording a median house price of $1.05 million in the latest CoreLogic data.

It’s now in the same exclusive price threshold as Bundall, Mermaid Beach, Main Beach, Broadbeach Waters, Clear Island Waters, Paradise Point and Surfers Paradise.

The CoreLogic February Market Trends report showed a 31.3 per cent increase over 29 house sales in the last 12 months.

“There’s obviously a demand for quality homes and everyone is wanting a bit more space at the moment,” said John Fischer of LJ Hooker Mudgeeraba.

Mr Fischer has just handled the sale of 1 Dungogie Drive in neighbouring Tallebudgera, which has recorded its own median house price jump to $891,250, up 12.2 per cent.

The resort-style home with a sandy beach and tropical aquarium was Queensland’s biggest sale of the past week, according to CoreLogic, and was the highest sale by more than $300,000 in its estate.

Mr Fischer said an Elanora couple offered over asking price to beat two other parties.

“Even though they were local buyers, there were interstate parties interested,” Mr Fischer said.

Mr Fischer has predicted Tallebudgera will soon join the Valley in the million-dollar club.
