Even though you’re a strong, dynamic character you’re not allpowerful. You might be a natural-born winner, but you’re not infallible. And although you have a forward-thinking, assertive mind, you’re still prone to doubt. As Jupiter prepares to turn retrograde, you’re at risk of swapping optimism and courage for anxiety and concern. But pausing to research and examine the trajectory of your journey doesn’t equate to defeat. You don’t have to be operating blind to continue to act boldly.

It’s also ‘International Men-Asking-Why-They-Don’t-Get-An-International-Day-About-Them Day’ (they do: November 19). But that so many ask this question is indicative of a problem. It highlights the issues we face when a group is perceived to be getting preferential treatment - even if the truth is the opposite. Yet, as Jupiter, the planet of morality and justice, turns retrograde tomorrow, it’s a good time to examine our consciences and right some wrongs.

TAURUS APR 21 - MAY 21

There’s a feeling of generosity behind the phrase ‘live and let live’; a broadminded attitude that shrugs a shoulder no matter what’s going on. As long as no one’s being harmed, why does it matter what people do? But harm isn’t always easy to define. Someone who has high moral standards can have a strong reaction where someone else might not be in the slightest bit bothered. In your life now, being as nonjudgmental as possible will make life easier for everyone.

Carrara’s Events Centre launched the first Morris Art Prize, with artwork from Brisbane to Byron

OPENING OF MORRIS ART PRIZE Carrara Markets

IF an inaugural art prize can attract close to 300 entries, it must be doing everything right. The Morris Art Prize was launched this week in the giant space of the Events Centre at the Carrara Markets. The theme is ‘From Brisbane to Byron’ which given the huge diversity in our region offers a lot of scope for artistic interpretation. The exhibition of the artworks runs until this Sunday. If you need some help with something, it’s best to ask someone busy. We all know the maxim… busy folk are able to slot things into their busy schedules. They just add it to their to do list and hardly notice that they’ve got another task to do. Calmer, less active people theoretically have more time on their hands, but are more likely to be thrown into a panic or just refuse to take anything on. As Jupiter turns retrograde, rather than take on anyone else’s work, just do what you need and want to do.

CANCER JUN 23 - JUL 23

There are times when straightforward thinking is advantageous. It helps you cut corners and race past any meanderers. But, as Jupiter prepares to turn retrograde, this is a time when thinking in roundabout ways can lead you to creative solutions to a problem that’s been bothering you for a while. You’re more than able to think laterally. You can step sideways around any obstacles, whether physical or mental. A change of perspective will reveal that your objective is easy to attain.
