City council selling two Robina blocks
GOLD Coast City Council is offloading two prime vacant blocks of land in Robina.
The adjoining 6985sq m and 4781sq m parcels, at 287 Scottsdale Drive and 9 Energy Circuit respectively, were acquired in 2010 for a total outlay of $7.64 million.
The sites are next to Robina Police Station and within proximity to businesses such as Pacifica Seafood, Australian Industry Trade College, East Coast Commercials vehicle sales, Sunkids Daycare, and City Pods showroom warehouses.
They are being marketed for sale by James Stevenson and Kevin Carmody, of Savills, in conjunction with Josh Wright and Ed Howard, of Cushman & Wakefield.
Mr Stevenson said the blocks are in the South Hill Precinct, which allows for lowto-medium rise buildings and a wide range of business and service uses.
“More specifically, the South Hill Development Section 03 is intended to host development for a business and clean industry district including warehouse, service industry, showroom, catering and other complementary uses,” he said.
Mr Wright said the sites have attracted inquiries from both owner-occupiers and developers. “The vendor has given clear instructions that the properties are to be sold so we are encouraging all interested parties to submit their tenders,” he said.
The properties are being sold via public tender closing on March 14.
