GOLD Coast singer and songwriter Adam Brand has been crowned Australian Artist of the Year for a fourth time in front of a home crowd at the eighth annual CMC Awards.

The 12-time Gold Guitar winner also claimed Australian Video of the Year for crowd favourite single Drunk, from his ARIA-winning country album Get On Your Feet.

The audience voted Country Music Channel (CMC) Awards brought some of the genre’s biggest names to The Star Gold Coast for last night’s ceremony, broadcast live on Foxtel’s CMC Channel.

Hosted by The McClymonts, the show included live performanc­es by Grammy-winning guest Darius Rucker, US star Kelsea Ballerini, Old Dominion, The Wolfe Brothers and Travis Collins and Amber Lawrence.

Grammy-winning star Keith Urban was named Internatio­nal Artist of the Year for the sixth time. Urban also won his seventh Internatio­nal Video of the Year award for The Fighter, a duet with Carrie Underwood.

Travis Collins won his second consecutiv­e Male Artist of the Year award while multi-instrument­alist Christie Lamb was named Female Australian Artist of the Year.

Awards hosts The McClymonts won the Group or Duo of the Year award for the third time.

FOX8 will replay the awards on Sunday at 3pm. They’ll also screen nightly at 7pm on CMC from Monday.
