Joy of six for Bolt in city’s clubs

-

FOR Usain Bolt, the 21st Commonwealth Games truly were the Party Games after he finished his Gold Coast week with his sixth night of clubbing in a row.

The fastest man on the planet checked out from the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort at Main Beach yesterday after partying into the small hours of the morning again in Sin City.

He hit the Surfers Paradise nightclub for the fifth time on Tuesday night, staying past the 3am last drinks cut-off.

The only night he didn’t go to Sin City – with its lingerie waitresses and premium bottle service – was Monday which he spent at Broadbeach’s Love Nightlife until at least 4am.

The Bulletin spotted him in Sin City until after 3am yesterday when the bar closed – and he did another brief cameo in the DJ booth.

It followed his night out at Sin City the day he arrived on the Gold Coast late last week when he also hit the DJ decks alongside J-dub, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

His preferred drink was Hennessy XO cognac and on his final night at Sin City about half a dozen women joined him and his small entourage. Security lined the exterior of his VIP booth, keeping an ever-watchful eye on other patrons.

Sin City general manager Tim Martin said Bolt had been “an absolute gentleman”.

“He was very down-toearth. He was very easy to deal with. For such a global superstar he was charming.”

Bolt was at the Games in a non-competitive role as ambassador, brought out by Optus.
