Extra trees for koalas

MORE than 500 eucalypt trees will be planted in Merrimac to help support injured koalas at Currumbin Wildlife Hospital.

Energex Gold Coast staff donated $5000 to the animal hospital after nominating it as their not-for-profit charity. Acting area manager Shane Castles said their local staff had been active in supporting wildlife projects for years.
