Dutton slams visa crims
HOME Affairs Minister Peter Dutton is “incredibly frustrated” with the visa appeal process that has let foreignborn criminals avoid deportation.
It was revealed yesterday that Turkish double murderer Mustafa Kunduraci was free to kill because decisions to keep him out of Australia were twice overturned by the forerunner to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. One of the victim’s sisters accused the Migration Review Tribunal of having “blood on its hands”.
“I can understand the frustration, I share it every day ... I think taxpayers, the Australian public, and most importantly the victims and their families, are being taken for a ride,” Mr Dutton said.
