EX-LEAGUE STAR SELLS COAST HOME FOR $937K

- ALEISHA DAWSON In Saturday’s Bulletin

FORMER rugby league international Nate Myles has sold his Gold Coast home for $217,000 more than he paid for it seven years ago.

Property records show the Palm Beach property changed hands this week for $937,000 through David Lonie, of LJ Hooker Palm Beach.

Mr Lonie said an interstate buyer snapped up the home within a week of listing it.

“We had multiple offers and a lot of local interest.”

Myles played 32 games for Queensland in a decorated career that included a stint as captain of the Gold Coast Titans. He announced his retirement from the NRL last year after moving to the Manly Sea Eagles and the Melbourne Storm.

Myles put his fourbedroom lowset beach home on the market in February.

The two bathroom, double car garage home was built in 1970 and was renovated before he bought it.

Three years ago, Myles had put it up for rent at $790 a week, much more than the current median rent in the area of $600 a week.

Palm Beach has seen a surge in demand over the past five years with prices rising 65.3 per cent in that time.

Myles and his wife, former Home and Away star Tessa James, welcomed their first child this year.
