COAST GETS MARKLE SPARKLE

- CHANTAY LOGAN

POISE your pinky finger and practise your curtsy – royal wedding fever is about to hit.

Pimm’s punch will flow when QT Gold Coast becomes little Britain ahead of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s May 19 nuptials.

Join the wedding party from May 18 to 20, with a royal procession down the red carpet under the watchful eye of the queen’s guard, polished portraits, high tea sittings three times daily and the main event live on the big screen.

QT Gold Coast’s director of food and beverage Jared Thibault said the anticipation was already building. “We look for any excuse to have a party and what better one than a royal wedding,” he said.

Hot Tomato breakfast radio presenter Emily Jade O’Keeffe is an avid royal follower – although she’ll be sticking to the English breakfast for a toast.

“I’ve always loved the royals … but I’ve been pregnant during both weddings so I haven’t been able to drink champagne,” she said. “I’m waiting until Prince George marries my daughter Millie and then I can drink all of the champagne.”
