Ride death charges cut

THE mother of an eight-yearold girl flung from a ride at the Royal Adelaide show is still looking for answers after charges were dropped against a safety inspection company.

South Australia’s corruption watchdog has confirmed it will investigat­e SafeWork SA, after it dropped charges on Wednesday against the Safe is Safe inspection company.

Adelene Leong, who was on holiday from Malaysia, died after being thrown from the Airmaxx 360 ride in 2014.

“Accountabi­lity appears to be forgotten,” Franco Camatta, lawyer for mum, Kim Ng, said.
