Hat-trick on cards for Roos reserves

-

THE Robina Roos men’s reserves side will look to complete a hat-trick of wins when it takes on home side Coolangatta-Tweed in QFA Division 2 tomorrow.

The seconds downed Coomera by 14 points on April 21, then Beenleigh by 29 last week and will head into the Round 5 clash as favourites against the winless Blues at Corpsure Oval.

Coach Jyhe Pearson said his team had completed a satisfying turnaround after a 12goal loss in Round 2.

Pearson said the return of key-position players to the seniors, such as star midfielders Boeh Davies, Jordan Davies and Zach Jackson, meant the Roos Twos midfield would be bolstered by the return of captain Damien Chapman and others to resume their roles.

“It’s looking like us and the seniors should have the strongest sides ... that we’ve had so far this season,” he said.

Robina’s seniors will look to rebound from a crushing defeat to Beenleigh last week when it plays the Blues at 2pm, after the reserves match at 11.45am.

Roos women face Surfers at Sir Bruce Small Park at 3pm in QWFA Division 2 South.
