MUSO’S TRIBUTE TO THE SALVOS

-

ON the day that the Salvation Army launched its Red Shield Appeal, there was something fitting about Mason Rack’s win at the Gold Coast Music Awards. After picking up his prize, Mason, pictured, spoke of his life in and out of the music industry. “I started playing gigs with my late father (the legendary Billy Rack) when I was seven years old who got me into music, teaching me what he knew. This award tonight means so much because I have been through a lot over the years with my addiction to drugs and alcohol. I became sick and tired of being sick and tired and the Salvos helped me to get clean and I’ve now been sober for 18 years.”
