NATHAN’S WRITE PATH

- BRIANNA MORRIS-GRANT

IT’S always been a passion for him, but now Bond University’s Nathan Corbett has had the chance to follow his childhood dream of working in sports journalism.

The former rugby player, who previously commentated Bond Rugby’s first-grade games, has just completed an intern at the Oceania Rugby Under 20s Championship.

Mr Corbett was just one of six Bond University students chosen to take part in internships, which span across fields from media management to physiotherapy.

“I know all the players and exactly what is happening on the field, which combined with my knowledge of sports management obtained through my degree, should come second nature to me,” Nathan said.

“I can’t wait to learn more about the media industry through this internship — it really is a dream come true,” he said.

The event is a pathway to the World Rugby U20s Championships in France (May 30-June17), and features players from Australia, New Zealand, Tonga and Fiji.
