Andrew Bell, a self-funded retiree and his wife own an investment property in Sydney, with no reliance on pension. “It’s obviously an election budget ... it will give the Liberals a kick up in the lead up to the election. They have catered to the swinging voters. For people like me, there’s not much in there. It’s good there’s more medical research ... but I don’t see too much in it that will make a difference. A lot of it is pie in the sky.”
