Space, supercomputers are coming
IT SOUNDS like a science-fiction wishlist but the Federal Government has revealed a $2.4 billion plan to upgrade two supercomputers, set artificial intelligence guidelines, introduce GPS technology accurate within 3cm and create a national space agency.
The unprecedented technology package, covering a mixed bag of cutting-edge innovation and upgrades to existing technology, will be rolled out over the next 12 years, and representd a significant investment in “Australia’s public technology infrastructure,” Treasurer Scott Morrison said.
