M1 chaos after crash

A MULTI-VEHICLE crash involving a motorcycle, truck and three cars caused a traffic nightmare on the M1 yesterday. Two of the three southbound lanes near Exit 69 at Molendinar were closed following the multi-vehicle pile up at about 3.45pm, while rubberneckers caused congestion on the northbound lanes. A 36-year-old male motorcyclist was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition. The truck driver suffered shock but did not require further medical treatment. All lanes of traffic were reopened in less than an hour.
