A BEER, a band and a back and sides.

All three can be enjoyed simultaneously at the Gold Coast’s quirkiest new venue, the Mobile Barber Shop Depot.

The concept is the brainchild of Luigi and Sons Mobile Barbershop Caravan owner Joey D’Adderio, his wife Nicola Sagripanti and Austream Affairs mobile bar owner Olivia Fischer, who have collaborated to create the unique venue space.

Ms Fischer said they wanted to create a place to host parties, weddings and pop-up gigs as well as have a permanent base for both their mobile businesses.

“It will be a licensed venue that you can come in, get a haircut, have a drink and a feed,” she said.

“There will still be that mobile aspect for the trucks but now we just have a permanent base for when we’re not out on the road.”

More than 200 people attended the venue’s opening night and the crew already have two weddings booked in.

Ms Fischer shipped her vintage Airstream truck from the US four years ago and caters for events across the Coast.
