IN THE HUNT FOR PLAYROOM GEMS

PHIL Stafford from Entertainment Lighting and Sound in Burleigh Heads is on a mission. For many a year Phil worked at the famous Playroom and has collected recordings of some of the famous groups who played on stage there during those heady days. “I know that all the groups were recorded and while I have some of them I would love to track down the footage of the remainder,” said Phil. With the likes of INXS, Midnight Oil, Cold Chisel, Split Enz and countless other top bands it could even help some of the patrons remember some missing nights from the golden years of Australian live music.
