NICK Scali and Goodlife Health Club have signed on to lease space in a new retail centre on the site of the former Masters store in Bundall.

The new tenants, unveiled by privately-owned group Home Consortium this week, will also include James Lane, DeRucci and Focus on Furniture at the Bundall Rd property.

The centre, which is fullyleased, is expected to start trading in July with the fitout currently underway by Brisbane-based Tomkins.

In addition, Spotlight, Petbarn, Supercheap Auto, Choice The Discount Store and EMF Performance Centre have been announced as new tenants at the Upper Coomera centre.

Home Consortium is fitting out an empty warehouse at Coomera Grand, and is in the final stages of negotiations for another tenant, with the centre slated to open in September.

Nick Scali CEO Anthony Scali said the existing Upton St store will be relocated to Bundall Rd.

“This will be a larger store that will enable us to showcase our range of quality furniture to our clients,” he said.

Home Consortium completed a $700 million purchase from Woolworths of the failed Masters sites in August last year.

Earlier this year it lodged plans seeking approval for a material change of use at the Bundall Rd site to include a food and drink outlet (cafe), indoor sport and recreation facility, and office and healthcare services.

However, no healthcare tenants have been announced so far.

The Goodlife gym will occupy 3000sq m at Bundall Rd.

Home Consortium provided no details on lease terms or rates for either of the centres.

It said the centres will create about 400 retail jobs when up and running.
