Light rail, CST, high rises, integrated resorts, all come with the mantra that we must increase tourism. We increased tourism at the Comm Games and our businesses suffered. It is the locals who are the backbone and bread and butter of business here, and if we bank on only tourists being our one revenue stream, we will suffer in the next global downturn. Re pushbikes on roads: it’s alright making laws to protect the bike rider on the road, but it gives bike riders a false confidence. As much as road rules should be adhered to they’re not & it’s up to bike riders to save their own lives by realising they need to respect the heavy traffic & keep an eye on it all. It only takes human error & you’re squashed on the road wrapped for Xmas.

Went to wedding with over 200 guests – men’s toilet one medium length urinal, one toilet and my wife says only two toilets in the ladies. How’s that happen? How does council approve such facilities? Please explain !!!! Doug
