Union boss flies in to support XXXX workers

UNION heavyweight Sally McManus will join striking XXXX brewery workers tomorrow as they walk off the job for the ninth time in nine weeks.

The Australian Council of Trade Unions secretary is scheduled to address a community rally at the Milton brewery in the increasingly bitter industrial dispute.

Damian Davie, a spokesman for the union representing the workers, United Voice Queensland, said that getting national support for the XXXX employees was important.

“Sally McManus from the ACTU will be addressing workers after they walk off the job, bringing new life to their fight,” Mr Davie said.

United Voice union members have claimed XXXX is trying to employ more casuals and water down conditions.
