Stress proves infectious
HEALTH experts say stress can be just as contagious as the common cold and can spread through families and workplaces like wildfire.
A new Australian study of career couples has found stress caused in the workplace was transferred from one partner to another at home. The transferred stress was then spread back into subsequent workplaces. “If you are under stress at work and so is your partner then it’s much worse for you,” Griffith University professor of organisational psychology Paula Brough said.
