Resort issues toboggan ban
FAMILIES that have prebooked a snow holiday at Thredbo ski slopes are not happy about missing out on tobogganing fun this season after the NSW resort decided to ban the family-friendly pastime.
Less than two weeks from the opening of the ski season, Thredbo ski resort said it would prevent the use of toboggans and snow-sliding equipment, citing safety concerns.
“Collisions with other sleds, vehicles, skiers, snowboarders, loss of control and falling off” are among the reasons cited for the tobogganing ban.
