Currie gets in on time

-

STEWARDS have allowed suspended trainer Ben Currie to transfer horses he had nominated for Gatton and Toowoomba to other trainers to allow them to race.

Currie is currently suspended after fronting stewards on Monday when he was charged with 31 breaches of racing rules and he can’t nominate or accept with horses until he gets a stay.

His stay application will be heard in the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal this morning.

Currie has pleaded not guilty and a stay would allow him to train until a final resolution of the charges.

He was unable to accept with horses for the Sunshine Coast tomorrow or nominate for the Gold Coast next Wednesday because of the timeline.
