Fenech wants A warning for a Horn belting the Wallabies

-

AUSTRALIA’S most successful fighter, Jeff Fenech, has appealed for the judges of Sunday’s Jeff Horn-Terence Crawford fight in Las Vegas to give the Aussie hero “a fair shake’’ after Brisbane’s world champ described himself as a “pawn’’ in a ruthless game of boxing politics.

It’s no secret fight promoter Bob Arum wants Crawford to beat Horn as he has the American tied to a longterm deal while Horn is a free agent after the MGM Grand Casino bout.

Fenech wants to be ringside. WILL Genia has warned the Wallabies’ youngbloods not to underestimate the Irish on Saturday night or risk the pain of another 2011 Rugby World Cup ambush.

The halfback has savoured more wins over the All Blacks (three) than Ireland (one) in his 88-Test career so any Wallaby cruising towards Suncorp Stadium needs to listen.

It’s easy to nod respect for the pack skills of the Irish as Six Nations champions, their scheming halves Johnny Sexton and Conor Murray.
