THERE will be no Queensland State of Origin comebacks for Johnathan Thurston this year – but there will be a “no holds barred’’ speaking tour at the end of the year.

The retired Maroons star will lift the lid on his incredible 12-year State of Origin career in October when an Australian and New Zealand tour of “An Evening with JT’’ is launched.

“It is fair to say I have an Origin story or two,’’ he said.

“We had some great times both on and off the field and I’ll be sharing those moments during the tour.’’

Thurston will collect another Origin yarn or two this week with the future immortal to be part of the Maroons preparations for tomorrow night’s blockbuster against the Blues.

The four-time Dally M winner will be joined by some of the biggest names in league during his speaking tour.

“I am excited to provide an insight into my childhood, culture and career in an intimate setting,’’ Thurston said.
