Bikie boss Teamo’s appeal delayed

-

A FORMER bikie boss who has been involved in some of the Gold Coast’s most infamous crimes has had an appeal for his sentence for bashing a housemate delayed due the injuries he received when beaten in prison.

Jacques Teamo was hospitalised last month after he was smashed with an exercise bike seat by up to seven men during a brawl at Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre.

Teamo has claimed the nine months in prison he received for the assault was excessive.

He pleaded guilty to the charge in September last year and was eligible for parole in December. But he lodged an appeal saying the sentence did not fit the crime.

Teamo’s lawyer Chris Hannay had trouble getting instructions from Teamo who was recovering in hospital.
