NSW 'Low transport fares’ began with former Premier Neville Wran being elected on the promise (fulfilled) of reducing fares. Has remained very fair ever since, especially Aged Pensioner Fares. Surely it's a 'no-brainer’ for the current QLD Gov't to implement same policy in the coming budget if they want to be re-elected next election. This incentive to use trains to Brisbane instead of M1 has more merit than monkeying around with excuses for just about everything they procrastinate on. Stop the waste of time and money on many useless expenditures, some of which are beyond reason or understanding of any worthwhile ’planning’. … B.O
