Fading SSE swell combines with a small round of E swell in the 1 to 3ft range today and tomorrow before both swells fade to tiny levels on Friday and Saturday.

TODAY

Combinatio­n of leftover SSE sand small E swells. Ranging from 2 to 3ft exposed breaks depending on exposure, grading to 1 to 2ft inside the points and bays. WIND: Early NW to WNW tending variable during the arvo.

TOMORROW

Smaller mix of ESE and SE swells. Ranging from 1 to 2ft+ exposed beaches, grading smaller inside the points and bays. WIND: Early light W tending light and variable during the day.

FRIDAY

Slight ESE swell up to a slow 1 to 2ft exposed breaks, grading to tiny levels inside the points and bays. WIND: Early light W 5 to 10 knots, tending light and variable during the day, then N later.

SATURDAY

Background ESE swell around 1ft+ exposed breaks, grading to tiny/ near flat along the points and inside the bays. WIND: WSW 10 to 15 knots.

SUNDAY

Directiona­l S swell speculativ­ely builds. Around 1 to 2ft exposed northern NSW beaches, building to 2 to 3ft during the arvo. Virtually flat across southern Queensland coasts. WIND: Early light WSW tending variable to light WNW 5 to 10 knots, then NNW later.
