Murder hearing date set
A MAN accused of murdering a homeless man after a fight at the Gold Coast University Hospital will face a two-day committal hearing in October.
The hearing will determine if there is enough evidence to put Paul John Conoley on trial for the murder of 53-year-old John Francis Imber.
Conoley did not appear for the mention in the Southport Magistrates Court yesterday.
It is alleged the two argued after one of them tried to “jump the queue” in emergency on August 4 last year.
Mr Imber was found in the ED toilets with head injuries and died in hospital days later.
