Girl’s horror kidnap ordeal

AN 11-YEAR-OLD girl who survived a “horrendous” five-hour abduction and sexual assault in Newcastle has been praised for her bravery and detailed description of the attacker.

The girl was walking through Hudson Park in Adamstown Heights about 9.15am Tuesday when she was grabbed from behind and threatened by a knife-wielding man who sexually assaulted her. She was then forced into a red car and driven to bushland where she was subjected to further abuse before being released.

The girl was able to give details about his appearance.
