SO we have Kim Jong-un to thank for the latest hair fashion for guys. Kim the barber shops of Australia thank you. GL.

No wonder politicians like Treasurer Jackie aren’t worried about things like debt is because she knows that Labor won’t be there long enough to do anything meaningful about it. What’s the old saying, we’re here for a good time, not a long time. GT

Keith Woods’ article about cheaper rail fares sounds good but the size of station car parks would have to be a lot bigger than they are now. Look what happens when a service station drops the price of fuel to a dollar, it causes traffic chaos. Barney

Be careful with bring back the smack attitude. 18% of parents admit to losing control when hitting a child. Ask yourself: how hard, how often, where on the body, hand or weapon? These children already live in a smacking/hitting society and it hasn’t worked (86% of children are physically punished) – get your facts and get informed. If smacking works why has it failed? I’ve never hit any of my five kids and they are all good people. It’s good parenting, not hitting, that works. GC Socialist

If Jeff Horn takes on Anthony Mundine that will really be hitting below the belt and would just show he would do anything for the money. It would be like knocking your father down. Margaret

Just a thought, what about the old dog track at Border Park for the new hospital? Close to airport and Uni. Hawk

Most reasonable thinking people believe that aboriginals deserve our respect, having been here many thousands of years. While this is true, how much respect does our wildlife deserve having been here for many millions of years? Celt

I am less concerned about mobility scooters on footpaths than I am about cyclists and skateboard riders who use paths instead of bicycle lanes.

Why are the so-called greens against a cable car at Springbrook? If done like the one in Cairns it would make people appreciate the hinterland by seeing it. Terry

NRL supporters angry about refereeing decisions should watch the rugby test played last weekend. Tries for both countries disallowed for infractions picked up by the off-field referee long before tries were scored. Rugby has a lot of work to do to reclaim any credibility in this country.

Apparently there was the world’s worst hair style competition held in Singapore. Does anyone know who won?

Parked all day Sunday in Brisbane city for $10, no stress, no fuss, we will return. Sorry GC, you lost us.

Lack of sleep due to fireworks, next time call police and this time say it sounds like shots being fired. That

might get some attention. Insomniac Sympathiser.

Hey Ex-China, a warship dive attraction will bring a new type of tourist which the GC is currently losing out on, one who spends 3 to 4 times more (per day) and stays for a week, spending up big on accom, food and attractions, for themselves and their family members. A cruise tourist only stays for half a day, sleeps and eats on the ship and does not spend much on port visits. A navy dive wreck will also encourage more physically active leisure and bring us big dive tourism bucks which are currently being attracted to other diver friendly natural attractions – a win win. Dive tourism researcher.

Sporting CEOs with their pay packets are the grubs of Australia, they stick their handout for television money and they think they have achieved something. They end up in sport because they cannot make it in the business world, so they ruin all codes with their greed. Mick

Have to hand it to Donald Trump, he may be a flawed human being as a person but he is a real leader that gets things done. The critics of the Singapore summit should realise it was either going to be peace or nuclear war this time with this American president and North Korea. If the American people wanted a saint for their leader they would have voted for the pope or Mother Teresa instead if they were eligible. The dominator.

Attn Bres: They ring their bells when they pass each other for the safety of pedestrians. So pedestrians know there is a tram coming the other direction behind the one closest to them.

The same house advertised a year ago was $540,000. This week it sold for $485,000. I know because I bought it. It may not be a property bubble but prices are definitely deflating. - Joanne

Why cannot we Goldcoasters see the value in our Spit and turn it into a magnificent park for all to enjoy? Kirrajann
