Chance to turn tables for Roos

-

THE Robina seniors will be out to avenge the result of the season-opener when they meet Park Ridge in Round 10 of QFA Division 2 action at the Roo Pen tomorrow.

A competition bye last week gave the Roos a chance to reflect on what has been a season to forget so far, and playing coach Mark Vigus said his side’s second meeting with the Pirates would be different.

“The issue is consistency, not only in play but consistency with the players available each week,” Vigus said.

“But the team has been improving, and at their best, they can match it with any in the league.”

Park Ridge beat Robina by 70 in Round 1, and sits second on the ladder.

Robina’s reserves will be keen to make the Pirates walk the plank after an eight-point loss in their first clash at Park Ridge High School on April 7.

The Pirates were too fast out of the blocks for the Roos Twos on that day, so the home side will aim early to block the visitors’ flow forward.

The reserves will play at 11.45am and the seniors at 2pm at Scottsdale Reserve. Robina’s women’s side have a bye.
