The best remedy is to confront the bully face to face … If that process doesn’t resolve the issue, then consult authorities for help.

Forget the CST, just build path (Oceanway) from Spit to Cooly, that was proposed years ago.

I knew the late Ken Perkins, a good, intelligent, and humble gentleman – and record collector friend, for 30 years. When I visited his GC home 6 years ago, I almost couldn’t get inside the front door, as he had 80,000 mostly rare/‘hard to get’, LPs inside. His collection would be worth multi-millions if auctioned off properly - not a paltry, ridiculous ‘million’ as mentioned by an errant valuer, on the internet today. Rod Riguez.

Commiserations to global warming guru, Tim “no snow on the Alps after the year 2000”. Bad luck (LOL). Maybe next year, Tim. Bruce Cramond, Murwillumbah.

Digger. Canterbury didn’t show up. Any team in the comp would have beaten them. Treeman

So the US gives tax cuts to big business so that US corporations find it cheaper to repatriate offshore profits to the US so the Australian government gives big business tax cuts so US corporations increase their offshore profits and repatriate them back to the US. Huh?

Why can’t our council publish results of all restaurant health department checks? In Las Vegas all health department results of all restaurants both good and bad are in the newspaper for all to see and the follow-up results. Does not seem to affect tourism. G.B.

Coolangatta had a record low temperature this morning. The greenies won’t tell you that!

Just before the introduction of the Carbon Tax our politicians gave themselves a 50 thousand dollar per annum pay rise across the board. They then abolished the Carbon Tax but not one of the greedy bastards called for the cancellation of their enormous gratuity to themselves.

Best spin doctors on TV has to be Melissa and Andrew on 9 News. Everything is either a “game changer” or “incredible vision”. Not to mention that they’ll be back in 60 seconds when it’s still 5 minutes BEFORE the News is programmed to start. Frustrated Viewer.

Guy in wheelchair at Toowoomba, -4 degrees, pedalling along with good leg which didn’t look that great. You are a

champ! At 6am as well. We whinge about our lot, try that people, see how you go! I couldn’t do it, no way. 4cr

If the council published the names of the eateries that passed hygiene inspections it could serve two purposes – those that make the list would want to stay there and those that didn’t would hopefully try to get on it. Barney

To no name. You are correct, the Kiwis didn’t make the World Cup. But we will support Australia like we did in the trenches. Chief

Why can’t gutless Turnbull heed the call of most Liberals and kill off the arrogant and reckless ABC. Australia has media galore and should not payroll this monstrosity.

Here we go again, yet another expert telling everyone we must have a cruise ship terminal. Who is going to pay for the construction and maintenance and who is paying for the sand dredging, which is forever? Easy to talk about, tell us who’s going to pay the bills? Irate Ratepayer I watched an old movie, fine china shown. Readers in Chatroom requesting cups in cafes for their “cup of tea”; why not donate your cups/ saucers unused in your cupboards. Just a thought. Ma

Wayne Schwass, a former AFL player, wants the AFL to get rid of the Suns and Giants because the talent is spread too thin according to him. Typical Victorian, who can’t see past the end of his nose (big picture). Let me point out the Suns would be filling up Metricon Stadium every week now if we had the Giants success and the Giants need more time to build membership like the Swans because they are in a more ethnic and diverse area that follows soccer more passionately. Time will fix the problem for certain I am sure.

Trade war between America and China is about to send world into another GFC. House prices will fall by 60% and superannuation gets wiped out. Pensioners have retired too early, back to work we go. - Dan

The Wallabies need to increase their intake of Swisse tablets instead of blaming the Irish and refs for their Test loss. Doug

Totally agree with you JW, Ch 10 is deplorable with its lack of V8 Supercars coverage. Time for 7 or 9 to step up.

Channel 9 weatherman told us “Today was the coldest of the year” Durrh! Every day since Jan 1 has been Summer, Autumn and early Winter. So desperate for an exclamation point? HRD
