Drummer Paul dies

VINNIE Paul, the co-founder of heavy metal band Pantera, has died aged 54.

When announcing his death on social media, the band gave few details except that Paul had died on Friday.

The drummer, born Vincent Paul Abbott, had played since 2006 with metal group Hellyeah.

He started Pantera, which has most of its success through the 1990s, as a teenager in 1981 with his brother, Dimebag Darrell, in their native Texas.
